The 7 Speaking Mountains from Bergen, Norway celebrating The Year of The Mountains at Cradle Mountain, Sunday the 17 of Feb. 2002 by night.

The original piece started with an introduction by a player piano from Maria Island. This is followed with a speech by Tulle Ruth in Danish and English to welcome the meeting between the mountains. The final salute presented three of the Speaking Mountain's greetings to Cradle Mountain and the Tasmanian landscape.

The phonetic script of the Speaking Mountains was projected onto the landscape. The resulting language appeared in three dimensions. New letters kept appearing as the viewer moved around, the magnificent landscape adding its own unique character to the language.
